In the wild
How do you like your waters? Fresh, sweet, warm, salty, weedy, muddy?
Here is Boeng Borapet central north Thailand swampy, warmy and weedy but not muddy. One third of the lake is a all year long non-fishing zone. it is also a place of preservation of the Siamese crocodile.

Big lakes are oftens part of a wildlife reserve, sometimes fishing is allowed sometimes it is not. You have to contact the authorities before you go.

Finding a spot for Saltwater flyfishing is the same approach; find marine reserve and ask if you can fish.

(By international or local fly fishing adventures standards we are inexpensive and dedicated).

I love the shot of standing on the tree and fishing.
